Actor. Clarance Holt, born in London, first acted there in 1843. After several years as actor-manager in Norwich, he was invited to Australia by George Coppin, and arrived in Melbourne in 1854. He acted in Tasmania, Victoria, and Sydney. After a brief absence, he returned in 1858, and in 1862 was joint lessee of the Theatre Royal, Melbourne.
